make a Redcar launcher
Make a Redcar launcher so that I can put the launcher in my shortcuts (Docky, or the taskbar).
Launching redcar from terminal means that redcar will not appear in Docky on Ubuntu.
(I tried to solve it myself but failed because text files are not executed by Docky)

I know I'm being a chump, but is there a similar method for creating a launcher in OSX?

For now you could save a file called redcar.desktop to $HOME/.gnome/apps/ with this content:
GenericName=Ruby Text Editor
Exec= can be set just to redcar when redcar is in your $PATH(if you can exec redcar with just typing redcar into a terminal). Your redcar installation directory should be in the directory that the command gem env shows for INSTALLATION DIRECTORY.
In long term, we're on it.
